Office 2016 gets smarter and
cedes some power to the cloud.
Rumors had put us on a platter.
That and the little we saw in the BUILD 2015 we have been giving a general idea
of what Microsoft had prepared for his new version of the suite of office and
business applications used in the world. Microsoft today announced the new
version of its productivity suite, Office 2016, in the wake begun in previous
versions and giving it a new string of features that makes it the most
personal, social and intelligent suite available.
This time not playing revolution,
because not needed. As the company has shown, Office 2016 has more to do with
the evolution that the company began doing exercises based on Mobile First,
Cloud First. The new version, available on both Windows and OS X users to 365,
comes as a starting point for the future of Microsoft's productivity, with
particular emphasis on social -tranquilos section with foundation-social and
depositing some of its power in the cloud.

Office 2016 focuses its key
points into four sections that users have been asking loudly: more mobile, more
social, more intelligent and more personal. Thus, the most interesting news of
Office 2016 has to do with the inclusion of collaborative tasks for easy
editing of documents and teamwork: co-authorship, Skype integration with all my
suite, working groups and improvements in 365:
- 365 Office Planner helps teams organize their work and helps them to create new plans, manage and assign tasks, set due dates and update status, thanks to visual control boxes and notifications by email. For now, Planner preview version will be available in Office 365, so it is not a final version, which will come later in the next quarter
- For the corporate market, it has included a number of updates for onedrive for Business, that will arrive later this month to improve synchronization, browser, mobile updates, control by IT departments and companies developers experience.
- A very interesting point that reaches 365 with the update for Office 2016: GigJam, which is available from today at a private preview, a solution that allows teams to carry out tasks and transform business processes, or less That promises on paper.
From now Outlook 2016 comes with
a tray of more intelligent input, including searches, and most interestingly,
the ability to manage permissions to Office documents sent from mail recipients
from the To field.

This, coupled with improvements
in the safety and management of shared documents Office 2016 make needed
changes in the suite:
- New functionality of Data Loss Prevention -Data Loss Prevention- in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, which reaches to reduce the risk of leakage of critical data.
- Enterprise Data Protection, which will come later this year, sharing content safely, according to corporate restrictions.
- Multi-Factor Authentication now provides secure access to content when the professional is outside the corporate network.
Office 2016 is available in 47
languages and Office 365 users can now download it manually and independent
application, in addition to being available for purchase, no subscription
version for Mac and PC users.
